I am a lady who loves to get creative. Being an engineer by education and career, this is a part of me that comes out in bursts and moves my emotions away from numbers, charts, and statistics. As a stay-at-home mom for going on 7 years, I find that sitting in front of the sewing machine or walking the aisles of the local craft store to be very therapeutic. Thus, over the past year, I have experimented with various little projects - sharing them mostly with family and friends.
The original Trendy Tissue cover was a gift I received from my Mom. It arrived unexpectedly in the mail one day with a sweet note, as only Moms can write to their daughters. Since, I have carried my tissues around in the cheery little pouch of fabric my mother made for me. It continues to bring me joy when I pull it out for a tissue (as us moms often do when we have preschool children in tow).
After receiving several compliments on the tissue cover by friends and strangers alike, I got inspiration to make one myself. Ah-ha - a new little project that required a trip to the craft store! Measuring, cutting and sewing my first Trendy Tissue was very rewarding. I instantly wanted to pass along the cuteness, sweetness, kindness of this to a friend....or two...or three.....and so the story goes.
