Ready for school!

I recently found some adorable fabrics with the younger lady in mind. Wouldn't it be nice for your daughter to have a tissue handy in her backpack as she heads out the door to school, dance class or the soccer field? With the cooler weather, cold season will be upon us sooner than we'd like. It's good hygiene for everyone to have supplies handy. My friend is betting on the idea that the little ladybugs will motivate her 6 year old daughter to grab a tissue! Let me know if there's a particular design you'd like made for the young lady in your life!

Remember - Trendy Tissues are simple to keep clean - just remove the tisses in their plastic package before tossing in the washer & dryer.

The Home of Trendy Tissues

Hi! Welcome to Tonia Joy Designs!
I am a lady who loves to get creative. Being an engineer by education and career, this is a part of me that comes out in bursts and moves my emotions away from numbers, charts, and statistics. As a stay-at-home mom for going on 7 years, I find that sitting in front of the sewing machine or walking the aisles of the local craft store to be very therapeutic. Thus, over the past year, I have experimented with various little projects - sharing them mostly with family and friends.

The original Trendy Tissue cover was a gift I received from my Mom. It arrived unexpectedly in the mail one day with a sweet note, as only Moms can write to their daughters. Since, I have carried my tissues around in the cheery little pouch of fabric my mother made for me. It continues to bring me joy when I pull it out for a tissue (as us moms often do when we have preschool children in tow).

After receiving several compliments on the tissue cover by friends and strangers alike, I got inspiration to make one myself. Ah-ha - a new little project that required a trip to the craft store! Measuring, cutting and sewing my first Trendy Tissue was very rewarding. I instantly wanted to pass along the cuteness, sweetness, kindness of this to a friend....or two...or three.....and so the story goes.
